Bacterial Identification
and Fungal Identification

When is it important to
undertake bacterial identification or fungal identification?
 |
When routine quality
assurance activities identify unknown bacteria or unknown
fungi in a product and the specific identity must be determined for
risk assessment purposes. |
 |
When your company needs
to know which microorganisms are naturally present in
critical environments or on a particular object, such as on
a work surface in a manufacturing environment.

How Does Antimicrobial Test
Laboratories Identify Bacteria and Fungi?
Antimicrobial Test
Laboratories always tries to use "best in class" analysis
techniques. To this end, we've partnered with Microcheck
Microbial Analysis Laboratory for
bacterial and fungal identification.
Here's how it works:
 |
Your company sends
Antimicrobial Test Laboratories samples for elution,
plating, and isolation of individual microorganisms. |
 |
Antimicrobial Test
Laboratories discusses with you the extent of contamination,
heterogeneity of the contaminants, and whether they are
bacterial or fungal. |
 |
After agreeing on an
appropriate number of unknown microorganisms to isolate and
identify, Antimicrobial Test Laboratories isolates and ships
them to our partner laboratory, Microcheck. |
 |
Bacteria are identified
by state-of-the-art DNA analysis. Fungi are identified by
subculturing followed by microscopic analysis, usually within 4 business days.
If fungi don't reproduce in culture, DNA identification is
an option. |
 |
We forward the Microcheck
report to you, handle all the billing, and work with
Microcheck to answer any questions you may have. |

We look forward to working
with your company to identify unknown bacteria and fungi!
